From two classrooms to a happy school
Sun Learning opened in 2013 with one simple aim: to make every school morning something a child wants to wake up for. We started with two classrooms and a borrowed piano, and we have grown carefully ever since.
Today we are a small, sunny primary school for ages 5 to 11. We keep classes calm and reading strong, then leave plenty of room for science, the arts, and time outdoors. We have grown in size, but never in noise.
What has not changed is the feeling at the door each morning. Warm welcomes, familiar faces, and the sense that learning here is meant to be a happy thing.
How we teach
Warm and steady
Children do their best work when they feel safe. We keep classrooms calm, kind, and predictable.
Curiosity counts
Questions are the point, not the interruption. We follow the ones that light a class up.
Small steps, real growth
We track each child gently and celebrate the small wins that add up to big confidence.
The grown-ups at the gate
A small, warm team who know every child by name.
Founded Sun Learning in 2013 and still greets every class by name at the gate.

Keeps the creative studio loud with ideas and the hall full of singing.

The green play yard is finished, giving every class daily outdoor time.
- 2026
A new outdoor classroom opens by the orchard, with 280 happy pupils.
