About Blue Seal

A calm, friendly school built around children

Blue Seal Primary has been part of Hartley Green since 2006. We are small enough to know every child by name and steady enough to give families a school they can trust for the whole of primary.

Our story

Our story

Children at Blue Seal Primary

Blue Seal opened in 2006 with two classes, one shared hall, and a simple idea: that a primary school should feel calm, kind, and full of things worth doing.

Year by year the school grew. We added a library, a garden, and a forest space down the lane, but the idea stayed the same. Reading and number sit at the heart of every week, and there is always time to play, make, and be outside.

Today we look after 350 children from Reception to Year 6. Many of our families come back with younger brothers and sisters, which is the kind of trust we are proudest of.

Our approach

What we stand for

  1. 01

    Calm and caring

A gentle, ordered day helps children settle, focus, and feel ready to try new things.

  2. 02

    Outside often

Time in nature is part of the timetable, not a treat. It steadies minds and sparks ideas.

  3. 03

    Confidence to try

We celebrate effort over getting it right first time, so children are never afraid to have a go.
