We are pleased to share that our forest school programme has grown. From this term, every class from Reception to Year 6 spends a morning each week learning outdoors in the woods down the lane.
Forest days are not a break from learning, they are learning in a different room. Children build shelters, measure trees, sketch what they find, and write about the seasons as they change around them.
Teachers tell us the same thing again and again: children who find a busy classroom hard often shine outside. A morning in the fresh air helps everyone come back calmer and ready to focus.
Families are welcome to send wellies and a warm coat on forest mornings. We will share each class timetable in the next newsletter, so you always know when your child is heading out.
