The summer term always flies by, and this one was no different. From the first warm morning to the last assembly, the school has been full of energy, colour, and the happy noise of children at work and play.
Sports day was a real high point. Every class took part, parents lined the field, and the weather held just long enough for the relay finals. As ever, the loudest cheers were for effort, not just for first place.
Our Year 4 and 5 children put on a wonderful school play, with hand-painted scenery from the art room and songs the whole hall joined in with. The confidence on those young faces is exactly what we hope school will build.
Down in the garden, the raised beds are heavy with beans, tomatoes, and far too many courgettes. Children have taken turns watering all term, and the kitchen has been cooking with what we grow.
