Our spring community fair brought the whole of Hartley Green to the school gates. The playground was full of stalls, games, and the smell of fresh pancakes from the very busy kitchen tent.
Children ran the book swap, the plant stall, and a surprisingly competitive cake-guessing table. Every penny raised goes back into the things they love most: new library books and seeds for the garden.
It was lovely to welcome so many former pupils, some now taller than their old teachers, who came back to say hello and have a slice of cake. A school is a community, and days like this remind us why.
Thank you to the parent helpers who set up before sunrise and stayed long after the last stall came down. We could not run a day like this without you.
